On the 25th Dec was my 38th birthday. I had planned to celebrate my birthday with kids, hubby, mum & siblings at the Empire Hotel and Country Club in Jerudong . It was not exactly to have my birthday party there. It was just a treat for my kids to enjoy their holidays with us.... with their grandmother, cousins and aunties at this place. We stayed at the hotel for two days. I booked two rooms..one for us and the other for my mum and sisters. Thanks to my sisters...the cake was a surprise treat from them...I didn't know they brought a cake for me at the middle of the night to my room.

Breakfast with mushroom soup & bread

My kids were not around. They were staying with my mum's house for few days since yesterday. So I just prepared simple breakfast for my hubby. I made mushroom soup, but this this time I tried using the ready-made Campbells' mushroom classic. I wanted to taste this Campbell recipe.. Its very simple menu just add in water and then put some of the concentrated soup then boiled. Emmm nice, delicious and tasty..I loved it.

Holidays mood...@ the beach with kids

These photos were taken on 17th December around 5.30 pm at Berakas Beach about 10 minutes drive from my place. I went there with kids, siblings and nieces to watch the scenery of end of hijrah. I knew my kids loved to go to beach...but I must aware too when at the beach..I won't let my kids swam too far since the wave seemed big.

Dinner with kids

My hubby was outstation since yesterday ..... so I had my dinner just with my kids. We miss him again. He will come back from Surabaya this Friday..wow thats seems a month for me. What's up yeah oh yes...I cooked simple menu fried bean sprouts with salty fish and butter milk chicken. It has been three days I cooked butter milk chicken. Do you know why? My second daughter Izzat loves this food. I don't know what make her addicted to this food may be because the taste of butter with the friend chicken or the milk. Tommorow I won't cook again, I should change to different menu.

"No more cookies left mum..please bake some more''.....Ok honey no problem..This time I change my recipe ..., I cut chocolate bar that I have in the freeze into small pieces...yup more... rich in chocolate and yes....I still have some almonds in my kitchen. Kids would love these...

This is the basic recipe I always use to bake cookies

2 glasses of top flour or plain flour

3/4 or 1/2 brown sugar or white sugar

2 eggs

1 glass of butter

1 tsp of vanilla

milo or cocoa

chocolate chips or bars

almond

Its up to you to decide what to add in your ingredients

Bake in the oven of 150-170C

After cook...look at the chocolate inside the cookies..emm look yummy

Cookies for kids

This afternoon I baked two types of cookies. Chocolate chip flapjacks and chocolate chip cookies. My kids love cookies very much especially my eldest daughter. Its easy and simple to bake them.

Ingredients for flapjack are butter, sugar, syrup, oats, sultanas and chocolate chips

Heat butter, sugar and syrup until well mix, remove the pan from the heat then mix well to combine everything....Turn into the prepared pan & press down well then bake in the oven

Chocolate chip cookies

Butter, sugar, egg, flour, cocoa & chocolate chips.

Mix well all the ingredients & beat until well combine.

Bake in the oven for 10 - 12 minutes

Yummy ..ready to eat and they're crispy..

My Daughter's Mini Graduation Day

On the 23rd November 2009, 7.30 pm, was Izzat's Mini Graduation Day at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Primary School  That was the last day of her schooling at the Primary School.  I was happy that she has passed her PSR Examination with a very good result indeed but not excellent. I am really proud of her capability in doing the exam papers. She managed toget 3As in English, Science and Malay; 2Cs in Math and GP.  

She is still ten years old and by March next year she will be eleven.  I can't imagine how she will manage her secondary year then.  She has not matured yet to face those tough subjects....emmmm...We always pray for you darling Izzat...wish you can cope to study at the secondary school.
