Cakes and Puding for today...yummy mummy

Last night was the night that almost 70% of people in Brunei gathered with their family just to watch their favourites concert - 'Malaysian singers in Akademi Fatasia'.  This includes our family too hahaha.  My sister brought this cake for us just to celebrate 'Hari Ibu' in our family. 

This morning I decided to bake Cheese cake and Triple Puding because my children kept on asking me when I would make their favorite cakes.  After many weeks I was busy so today in conjunction of Mother's Day I accepted their demand.  

Naqib secretly wrote this card and showed it to me when we have cakes together.....Thank you honey.....I love you Naqib.  

Happy mother's day to all mothers from us

Mother's Day is celebrated all over the world to honor our Mothers, although the dates and months of Mother's Day differ from country to country. Mother's day is the occasion to pay rich tributes to one of those persons who have had a great impact on our lives, a person whose love and care knows no boundaries, a person who does everything to keep her children happy and joyous.

Congratulation .......being a Champion :-)

            Today my school become the winner of the Education Road Safety Competition among 13 primary schools in Brunei II(B). Bravoooo.  This competition was organised by Brunei Shell LNG Marketing, Road safety organisation and Ministry Of Education.

            I was one of the committee, and my task was counting marks given by the 3 judges.  In the first place I was a bit worried about if my counting won't go right.  I keep on counting the marks 3 to 4 times until I felt satisfy and at last the outcomes WOW..it was my school,  Sekolah Rendah Dato Yassin got the highest mark, 82.69%.  The second place was Sekolah Rendah Sg Hanching which scored 75.57% and the third place was Sekolah Rendah OKBI which scored 63.75%.

My garden

It has been a long time, I didn't update my blog....sorry Ros...hehehe.Time is limited now and then for me. Anyway, this afternoon I took some snaps of my flowers in my garden. I love gardening so much. There are not much flowers in my garden. Most of the plants I have are green shrubs, bonsai and palms.

My huby likes his grass very much...for him to practice golf.

Theses are some green plants leads to the entrance of my house. It is a must for me to put plants between my main door as a symbol of "Peaceful and Harmony"

My daughter's day

Today, this afternoon was a certificate and gift presentations from Royal Brunei Armed Forces to army's children for having an excellent achievements in PSR, PMB, O Level and A Level Exams. I was very happy and glad that one of the children is my daughter, Dk Iffah. She has achieved 5A's in her PSR exam. Thanks to Allah The Mighty for all these days of our prays and work harding for our lovely children was granted.

Friday the 13th

Friday d 13th was my daughter's birthday..Happy 10th birthday Izzat.  It was a just a simple celebration for her. I celebrated her birthday at my mom's house.  I felt sad that day because her daddy was not around.  He's abroad doing his course.  Izzat... I know how your daddy feels about u.. He misses u so much and a gift is waiting for you soon from your daddy.  I wish and pray for u on your birthday that u can get 5'A's for your PSR exam this year. And to my beloved hubby..its not too late 4 us 2 say again a happy birthday to daddy on the 9th march...We love and miss u so much.

                                                 

                   

Its me again

This month I prefer my skin like this..hehehe...

For the past few weeks, I have been bz doing my routine schoolwork and housework and no time to do blogging.  I know my friends out there are waiting for my new post. This is the story. My maid was very choosy looking for job and she wanted to find another employer...so i sent her back to her agent.  She had been working with me exactly 1 month. Oh my god...On the 1st march she requested to transfer to another employer....whaatt!!!(TENSION n HBP)  could u believe that?  She's too demanding. If in the first place i knew this thing could happen to me, i won't choose her. Mad maid...errrr!!!

So how then....Its a lesson learnt.  At this moment its hard to find a good maid that really want to work with us. And I have to wait months for a maid.  I just want to give a try this time if i can manage to do all the stuffs with my own hands without maid at home.  My children love not to have a maid at home. They said they feel happy without maid. Now what!!!  Should I? Let me think that ....

Happy SILVER JUBILEE 25th National Day

To all Bruneian citizens in this country and abroad, I wish Happy 25th National day. I feel freedom today from morning until now, nothing to be worry about. I make myself free from routine work..I dont want to cook, to do my school work, outing or what ever that I used to do everyday..Before today, I was always bz rolling there and here like a ball. Anyway, Hello Bruneian people out there be proud of our country. Lets us salute this peaceful country.

My L.A.C room

Reading and discussion (with parents)corner

This is my new LAC (Learning Assistance Centre) room in my present school. My previous L.A.C was not so good as this one. At first, I was worried and thinking the condition of L.A.C here. Thank God, it is fully furnished. It has 2 aircons, attached cabinets, a sink, a toilet, a sofa and a television. Soon I will request a computer for my special students.

I have been a SENA (Special Education Need Assistance) teacher since 2000. Before that, I was a class teacher. As a SENA teacher, it is a very challenging task. I have to be patient and creative in designing varieties of teaching strategies in assisting these special students. Anyway I love my career as a SENA teacher since it teaches me to appreciate peoples' 'Dis' Abilities.

Below is a photo of me with one of my special students. She has problem with her vision and she has courage in doing her work. She can write but has difficulty in focusing the symbols of alphabets/numbers and comparing colours. Larger font of printed text or numbers are needed to be modified for her. Look at her..she's cute :)

These 2 students have problems with their reading. Routine and remedial reading in LAC help them to improve their reading difficulties.

Four days Seminar

I was attending a four days seminar on Behavioural Intervention for Children with Autism and other Learning Difficulties at International Convention Centre, Berakas Brunei Darussalam. The seminar started on the 2nd Feb until 5th Feb 2009. The consultant from British Columbia Canada, Dr Douglas Lee was invited to give talk on the topic to 500 participants including teachers, parents and other agencies. It was very interesting talk, I learnt that the programme planning, activities and evaluation from the talk are relevant to all educators. These will use as my guideline to develop behaviour programmes in working with children in my school.
I met my friends and we had opportunity to take a photo together with Mr Douglas Lee. I felt dwarf besides him.hahaha.
Let me introduce my friends to you from the right is Zaleha, Dk Hjh Fatimah, Rosnah, myself, Dr Lee, Hjh Masnah, Aspalela and i can't remember her name...sorry. Anyway we enjoyed the food during the seminar.
