Michael Jackson, 50, the King of Pop died  on Thursday 25th June in Los Angeles because of sudden Heart Attack.  I was really shocked to hear this news, he is my favourite pop star until now.  I like his songs since I was teenager ..but Faith has chosen him to leave us all in the world..and to all Muslims let us pray for him ....Al-Fatiah..

Our Journey to Kota Kinabalu (Sabah)

Kota Kinabalu is the place we chose for vacation during the school holidays.  We went there on 14th June for 5 days to see the scenery of Sabah's city.  I had visited Kota Kinabalu once with my hubby about 10 years ago by sea. But it is different now, the city changed drastically from 10 years ago. This time we brought our kids traveling to KK by van.  My sister in law's family joined us too but with their own car.  It took about 5 hours to reach to KK city. We had to chop our Passport 7 times in seven immigrations in order to reach to KK city. Eventhough it was very exhausted journey but we enjoyed the scenery on the way to KK.

 We had visited Manukan Island, Sabah's mosque and waterworld theme park . My kids really enjoyed snorkeling at Manukan Island.  I wish we could stay there for a week so we could go to Mount Kinabalu.  We had to leave early because we need to attend our niece's wedding day the next day.  We will go there soon..to see the beauty of the Mount Kinabalu and other four islands.

Bon voyage to mum, sis & niece

My mum, sis (Haslinda) and niece ( Haziqah) landed at Heathrow safely today.  They visit my other sister(Hazlinah) at Leeds. She's doing her Master in Engineering at Leeds University.  They are staying there for 3 weeks.  I know my mum really miss Hazlinah.  Actually my mum wanted to visit her last 2 years with my father when she did her Degree.  But its too early for my late father to leave us... at the age of 55 Allah the Mighty love him so much and took him from us.  I still remember his ambition to visit my sis there last december 2007...but oh my god he felt sick and passed away end of December 2007.  We really miss someone we love....

Now my mum is strong, she can stand by her own , her sadness towards my late father has reduced and I know how is her feeling going there without dad. I hope she is happy there beside my sis. We love u mum.

Wow..are all these in the shopping lists ?!!!!

Today I went with my mum, sisters and brother to the famous Tamu Kianggeh in the city. I love the view of Tamu Kianggeh.  There are lots of groceries and local delicacies ranging from traditional handicrafts, animals to local food and even traditional medicines we can buy at this Tamu. The most food I like to buy at this Tamu Kianggeh is the famous kuih Melaya, a pastry with peanuts....emmm its so yummy but unfortunately the Kuih Melaya's stall was closed today. If it was opened I will take some snaps to show to you how they make the pastries.  

I bought a pair of Australian spotted rabbits for my daughter at $40 each, some traditional food, veggies and dried salted fish. It was an enjoyable shopping activity.

My mum's 57th birthday celebration.

I shouldn't forget to post the celebration day with my mum but I did.   But nevertheless I still can share this with you.  It was on the 29th May my mum's birthday, my sisters and I intended to make a surprise celebration for mum then we booked a place at Weecan Restaurant the day before her birthday.  My mum was surprised and happy celebrating her birthday with us.  We love you mum and wish you long live and healthy life.

Happy 48th Anniversary RBAF-31st May 2009

Just few hours ago was the 48th Anniversary of Royal Armed Forces.  Happy anniversary to all armed forces in Brunei Darussalam especially to my dearest beloved husband.

Would you like to make Oreo Pudding?

Today I made Oreo Puding for my kids.  Its a simple recipe to prepare. Here is a list of ingredients that I can kindly share with you.

Ingredients A:

1 tin of fruit cocktail,

1 packet of oreo biscuit,

sponge cake, 

cherries and chocolate chips.

Ingredients B:

5 table spoon of custard powder,

1 tin of condensed milk,

2 glasses of water,

1 glass of sugar,

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence.

Step 1:  Arrange the ingredient A layer by layer in a glassware container as you can see  from the photos.  Put 4 to 5 tablespoon of cream nestle at the top layer if you want.

Step 2: Pour all the ingredients B and stir them until the ingredients become a mixture.  Then put it in a pan and cook and simmer gently until it looks thicken.  Then pour it onto ingredient A. Pour nestle cream and spread it evenly above the mixture.  Decorate it with oreo biscuits, cherries and chocolate chips.  Put the pudding into freeze for 1 hour.

 After that you can have it for tea time.  I know you will love it.  If you are creative in baking you can use any biscuits you like.  Have a good try.  

Old to new look

At first I intended to put  this very old mini wardrobe in a store, then I got an idea.  Why don't I think of transforming it to a fancy wardrobe? 

Then at one click of my brain , I got an idea, I decided to cover it with wall paper.  I bought this wall paper roll at Hua Ho Mall at a price of $12.90.  My daughter, Izzat, chose the design of bear on it.  I liked it too.  

Now the old mini wardrobe looks new, gorgeous and fancy.  It took nearly one hour to paste paper onto it.  I have to do it carefully and neatly.  My daughters love it and they wanted it to be placed at their bedroom.

Adventuring to Wasai Sungai Akar

I went to Wasai Sungai Akar (lake) this Sunday afternoon with my daughters, mum and sisters.  Its a good and healthy exercise that I must do at least once a week to release tension and have fun with family.  I really love adventurous activity.  I like the sound of the birds and waterfall. I used to do this kind of activity two to three times a day but now because of time limitation, busy doing school task and housework so I have to reduce my leisure activity with family once a week if needed
