My tastebuds' demand

Menu for sungkai today are very simple.  Vege fried rice, Tom yam Soup, Fried kulit ayam and Air Kausar.  Air Kausar is my children's favourite drink.  I made this drink after I got the recipe from my auntie.  I  can't stand my children kept on begging at me just to buy this drink everyday starting from first Ramadan. Just imagine....one bottle costs $2, if 2 bottles a day times ????days..wooow thats alot of money.

Preparation for Kausar drink:

Boil a kettle of water
Add a tablespoon of vanilla essence
Add a tablespoon of Banana essence
1 can of condenced milk
1 can of creamer milk
3 tablespoon Tukamaria seeds ( jintan selasih) - Add when mixture is cold.
 Add sugar if necessary
For this preparation you can get 5 bottles of Kausar drinks.

Vege Fried Rice

I don't know why my taste buds are seemed to choose Fried kulit ayam today. Yeah..don't blame the Ramadan Liz.  Actually I don't really want to serve this fried kulit ayam to my children. I'm afraid they will addicted to it. But never mind ..today can be an excuse for them to eat it. At first I should get rid off the thick fat which is sticked on it before I fried it.  Add tumeric powder , chilli powder and salt. Stir and fried until crispy.. At last my taste buds' demand have achieved.

Have a try on this simple menu..

Actually, I dont have a recepi for chicken wings curry but I tried to make one for my blogger's friend, Amina, since she requested for its recepi and this can be shared with my other bloggers' friends too.

curry powder

Ingredients:

cooking oil
5 red onions
5 garlics
3 cm of ginger
3 cardamons
2 table spoon tamarind paste/juice
7/8 tablespoon of curry (mix)
3 tablespoon of minced dried chilli
5-8 curry leaves
1 glass of full cream milk/coconut milk
1/2 kg chicken wings
5 potatoes (cut into 4)
2 glasses of water
salt
sugar

Preparation:
Heat cooking oil.  Add sliced onion, garlic, ginger and pelaga. Cook until golden. Pour in minced dry chilli followed by curry (stir with water first) and curry leaves. Simmer until mixture is thicken.  Add in chicken wings and potatoes. Stir occasionaly.  Then pour in milk with tamarind and stir well. Lastly add water, salt and sugar.  Allow to simmer until oil floats on surface.

The recepi for the Tom Yam noodle is very simple.  I used the Tom Yam paste from the supermarket only.  All you have to do is boil a pan of water, then dump in everything you want to eat.hehehe..just a joke..Its up to you to decide.  For me I add prawn, fish ball, onion, tomato, mushroom, chilli, long beans and brocoli.  Lastly you add full cream milk or coconut milk and let it boil for a while.  Then you can add any types of noodles you like.

Good luck for your mock exam Izzat

Tomorrow will be the second day for my daughter Izzat to sit for the mock examination and will be last on thursday the 3rd september. It is an exam to decide whether she can sit for the PSR examination on the 5th October this year. PSR is the Year 6 public exam and its short for Penilaian Sekolah Rendah or assessment for lower school.  Those who pass the exam will proceed to the secondary level the following year.

I pray and pray all the times for my kids to do well in their study and I wish Izzat to get 5As in the PSR exam just like her sister's result last year.  Sometime I'm a bit worry with her capabilities in doing her work.  Her age make me think differently.  She is too young to take this exam.  With her age of 10 years 6 months old,  does she has confidency in doing the exam? Why I keep thinking negatively? Be confident Liz..

Her teachers did mention to me about her performance in school that she has improved alot in all her subjects better than last year.  I am really happy to hear this news.  Last week Izzat showed me an achievement certificate for doing well in MCT Mathematics.  Congratulation darling.....we proud of you Izzat. But we want you to get more better than this in the coming exam.

with love from us
